Community Fertility Acupuncture
affordable acupuncture to support your fertility journey
How does this differ from your regular acupuncture services?
Our community acupuncture clinic takes place in an open concept room with multiple chairs and multiple patients having their treatment at the same time, in the same space. These treatments are focused almost exclusively on the acupuncture treatment itself and involve only a very small intake/health history review. |
Why do you offer treatments on a sliding scale?
In order to get the full potential of the benefits of acupuncture, regular appointment are recommended. We understand that your fertility journey can be financially challenging, especially if you are doing IVF. We provide our sliding scale clinic so our patients can get the full benefits of acupuncture when it would otherwise be unaffordable. |
Does the amount I choose to pay affect my treatment?
Not at all. Our most important goal is to help you navigate your fertility journey in the most peaceful way possible. We understand that people go through financial ups and downs, especially when dealing with infertility. We provide the best treatments possible, unconditionally. We never judge. |
What should I expect from my first appointment?
Before you arrive for your first appointment, please fill out the intake and consent forms online. These will be emailed to you in advance. From there, your practitioner will ask you some questions about your health. They will then feel your pulse and look at your tongue. After this, you will receive acupuncture based on your diagnosis. |
Will my insurance cover your services?
If you have coverage for acupuncture from a "Registered Acupuncturist" then our services will be covered by your extended health plan. We ALWAYS recommend calling in advance to speak to your insurance company about your individual plan, to avoid any unpleasant surprises. |
How long are the appointments?
Each appointment is booked for 60 minutes. You can stay for as long as you would like, up to 60 minutes. When you are ready to have your needles removed, simply give your practitioner a nod. They will remove the needles and you are free to go. |
How many treatments to I need to see results?
We typically recommend working with us for three menstrual cycles in order to see significant changes. However, many people begin to feel better after just the first treatment. Your practitioner will discuss your individual needs on your first appointment. |
How often do I need to come?
For optimal results, we recommend doing weekly acupuncture treatments. More frequent appointments may be needed if you are doing IVF. Your practitioner will discuss this with you on the first visit and will help you come up with a plan to meet your individual needs. |
How do I book my appointment?
The easiest way to book your appointment is by using our online booking system. You can also email or call us at the clinic. The info can be found on the contact page. We do recommend booking your appointments out for several weeks in advance. Our community clinic is very busy and spots fill up quickly. |
Do I need a referral from a doctor?
No referral needed. We welcome anyone at any stage in their fertility journey. Simply call us to book or use our online booking system. |
